The dark moon is here. The end of the year is drawing near… and as I look back, flipping through the days in reverse, some of it, not all of it, but some of it, now makes sense.
The growing pains I have experienced I see mirrored around me… great loss that made way for gain; some sorrows so deep the wounds are still raw.
I find it interesting that we are surprised! Were we really happy before? Wasn’t there lack or un-fulfillment? Imagine that, we were surprised at the turmoil that we have endured this year, when it’s really been the last big purge. Blessings come (or are coming) disguised as upheaval and shatter: relationships ended, careers and schools changed, physical ailments that won’t be ignored, violent attacks. This year has been an exclamation point at the end of this chapter!
This night the dark moon is veiled and she is shrouded with mystery… what will her light reveal to us as she gently emerges into the night sky? What will she offer with the coming year?
This past year of cutting away, letting go, and embracing sacrifice has cleared the way for all things that are new; dismissing what no longer serves our higher self. As we step into her light, let’s take a breath and prepare for joy larger than we dreamed, grander than we imagined, and more passionate that we ever felt in this life…….. for it is a new life that awaits!
